I bought what seems to be an authentic an Tibetan Buddhist Dorje and Vajra set from Nepal, and then proceeded to attempt to ascertain what the heck they were for.
I have to be honest about this though, that I regard Tibetan Buddhism as in the same category of religions like Hinduism, which are so culturally alien that you don’t have a chance to truly understand what the F they actually mean about ANY of their symbolism. These type of religions are like mirrors that you only see yourself, and all your own (pop)-culture’s knee-jerk baggage.
But not to be dissuaded, I did anyway. Having already excluded myself and everything TV has taught me for the past several decades from this research venture in order to adhere to the highest standards of rigorous scientific objectivity, I proceeded to dork around with the bell and bolt from the comfort and controlled experimental setting of my bedroom, and here is are my completely unbiased results.
First of all, these are what a Vajra (Bell) and Dorje (Thunderbolt) are.

To begin with, I believe that there is one main purpose of these ‘Tools’, and that is to compensate for high-altitude related hypoxia that people in the Himalayas are susceptible too, and without these tools, they are at far more risk of losing consciousness and dying due to gradual brain degradation.
Tibetan Buddhism, in my opinion, is a fascinating example of a religion that evolved from the original Buddhism of India, but due to the far more substantial need for a form of Buddhism which was more ‘Technical’ about the nitty-gritty details of the human brain in order to die less often at high altitude, they developed Tibetan Buddhism, which is more of an Eastern culture’s engineer’s version of Buddhism.
How is this so? Because hypoxia probably over time results in gradual uneven loss of neurons in the brain due to a lack of sufficient oxygen. When neurons in one hemisphere of the brain outnumber neurons in the opposite hemisphere, then someone becomes more susceptible to fainting spells, which could spell someone’s doom in the mountain monasteries of Tibet.
This is because they become highly vulnerable to a static discharge from one side of the body or the other which would cause them to lose enough brain activity in the hemisphere of the least number of living neurons that they fall unconscious. Something like this happening in the Himalayas would mean that a monk would only lay there, breathing shallowly at an altitude of little oxygen, and they would pass away.
But one incredible advantage of high altitude mountains is that mountains act as broad focal points of increased charge flow from the sky and to the negative ground of the Earth. This charge flow I am writing about is the Diurnal Atmospheric Electric Field, which is related to the Carnegie Curve, but specifically for this topic, how it behaves on mountains.
Because a mountain acts as a very broad antenna, then the increase of Volts, ie Specifically the speed that positive charge from the ionosphere flows down to the negative charge of the ground surface, increases on mountains. This increase of volts has the effect on the human brain of increasing the number of brain cycles it performs per second, essentially making people who live on mountains think faster than people on lower altitudes.
It does another thing too, which is that an increase of charge velocity accelerates the rate that the human body regenerates cells, including brain cells.
However, the increase of charge velocity from being on a mountain is only mild, maybe somewhere around 25% more-or-less. But, all of this changes if you use a Tibetan Bell and Bolt.
To begin to explain, the Bell has substantially more metal than the Bolt does, and this means that the Bell accumulates and stores more charge when it is held suspended in the air, and thus is essentially air-gapped, albeit the monk holding the Bell. The Bolt is held in the other hand, and since it has less metal, it acts as the Pulling Direction of charge.
The Bell is always held in the Left Hand, and the Bolt is always held in the Right Hand. By creating the daily meditation settings that a monk spends time vastly increasing the rate of charge flow between his two hands and body, this allows him to regenerate bodily cells faster, and thus attempt, and mostly succeed at healing the slow but destructive effects of hypoxia through the gradual regeneration of brain cells as well.
Now since the Bell is suspended in the air by the Left Hand, one interesting thing that happens is that as the Bell stores more and more charge, it eventually causes any increase of charge velocity to slow and then stop. I’ll be honest; I don’t really know why, but you actually need to hold the Bell lower to the floor to allow it to dissipate stored charge down into the ground in order to maintain an increase of speed.
But HEY! It’s a Bell! If you have it suspended in the air, and you sense that you can’t dodge bullets like Neo anymore, just Ring The Bell! Doing that actually blows off stored charge from the Bell, and then the increase of speed resumes.
There is another thing you can do with a Bell and Bolt set which will sound a little weird, and smacks sharply of the Western New-Age (who may have been correct all along… ), which is to search for inner-frequencies within the brain.
You will just have to take my word for it about what follows here, but you can tune the Bell and Bolt almost like a radio dial, and there is a relationship between the Bell’s height from the floor, the Bolt’s height from the floor, and the mutual heights of both the Bell and the Bolt, which allow you to search for and find inner-brain frequencies.
What good are they? Troubleshooting. By finding a frequency somewhere in the brain, once you do, you can hold the Bell and the Bolt still in the air, and this steady frequency HELD and in harmony with some frequency in the brain, actually spreads out from that point in the brain and corrects phase shift issues.
What is a phase shift issue? To give you a short example, say you have a nerve in the brain going into a single neuron, and then you have two nerves exiting out from this single neuron. There is a type of accumulating mental issue that occurs when a neuron is supposed to send information out the left nerve rather than the right one, but for a variety of reasons it sends information through the wrong pathway.
Of course that neuron is itself connected to the entirety of the human brain, and you rarely have only one neuron misbehaving. These types of problems grow slowly over time, and in reality pop in and out of existence continually throughout the day due to walking outside from indoors, walking past electrical appliances, or bending over sideways at the waist in order to pick up an empty soda can.
They usually go away immediately, but they also tend to gradually increase in number when in certain environments. This is probably because some of these incorrect phase shifts happen to appear in a place in the brain where they are stable, and then it acts as a growing point for a slow accumulation of further phase shifts outwards from that point. In my opinion, this is one of the things that cause cloudy thinking, as well as myriad subtle but problematic inner-life issues.
But the Bell and Bolt can be used for a short period of time to find small frequencies here and there in the brain that become audible once you find the particular frequency by adjusting the height of both items, and when the tools are held there, the frequency will spread through the neurological point that you found the frequency, and then flip all incorrect phases to their correct pathways.
Why? Frek if I know.
