The simplest way to describe how neurons route information correctly out into nerves in the brain is a simple tree with only one fork, for a total of three nerves. One nerve is the input nerve, and then there are two output nerves. When a signal goes into a neuron, then it is almost like a binary decision, and depending on the electrical polarity of the signal going into the input nerve, this determines whether the neuron will route the signal through one output nerve or the other.
But the reality is that many neurons have more than two potential output nerves, and this complicates their description of behavior. Nevertheless, I would like to try to break this down.
To begin with, different regions of the brain (we all have eight total) each communicate information out from themselves in different frequencies. This is to avoid the dilemma of more than one signal having the same frequency of another region of the brain, causing miscommunication within the brain when the signal is misinterpreted to have originated from the incorrect place in the brain.
Now neurons have a type of chemical memory within themselves, and encoded in this chemical memory are the learned routing instructions for all the different frequencies the brain intercommunicates in.
What this MEANS is that depending on the frequency that a signal arrives at a neuron, this determines which pair of output nerves that will be used. It is ALWAYS a pair, because if the signal coming in is a positive charge, then the output nerve will be in the negative nerve. Vice versa, if a negative charge comes in, the output nerve will be a the positive nerve.
Now, most likely, not all nerves actually possess 16 output nerves to allow for them to route out signals from all eight regions of the brain. Instead, the brain tends to route its information along consistently used pathways which tend to contain the potential signals of only two to three regions of the brain total. This means that the total number of output nerves a neuron will possess will at most usually be between 4 to 6.
Remembering that the route information in the brain will take depends on the polarity of the charge going into a neuron, then you can see that a correct COUNT of neurons must be maintained in order for the final polarity of the signal at the endpoint neuron to be correct at the destination.
In other words, there must be a correct number of neurons between ALL possible origins of signals to ALL possible destinations for the polarity to be correct at the destination to cause the correct outcome. If it is off by one, either less or more than one from the correct number, then at the final destination of a signal, the signal will instead be sent through the nerve of the wrong polarity and be interpreted incorrectly.
Further, a small point about this is that because the outcome AT a destination is determined by the polarity of the signal, then if the count to a destination happens to be off by two, then the outcome is returned to the proper polarity and results in the correct interpretation. But, if the count is off by THREE, then polarity is again reversed from the intended interpretation send by the origin location.
Lastly, you can imagine that the farther two neurons are from each other, the more unlikely it is there is a nerve that directly connects them. This all means that there is a smallish number of a general maximum number of neurons that the count between an origin to a destination can be skewed, and half of them result in correct outcomes, while the other half do not.
How happens exactly when signals are interpreted incorrectly? This will blow your mind. The vast majority of information in the brain is communicated in opposites. Either something IS, or it ISN’T, as well as all other variations of that basic idea. The way the brain handles these opposites is versatile. For a few examples of information arriving in the wrong polarity, mother actually meant father, broken actually meant still intact, have actually meant lost, big actually meant small, top actually meant bottom, hurt actually meant unharmed, ext. If is is in the wrong polarity, that part of the brain will read that signal as the opposite of the intention of that signal from the origin location.
Not only are the correct counts of neurons between all origins and destinations important, but very clean and distinct frequencies are important as well. As I wrote before, the frequency of a signal coming in designates the region of the brain the signal came from. If a neuron hypothetically receives a signal that is too much like the frequency of another part of the brain, then it may choose to route information out with the wrong pair of nerves. Then, that damn signal proceeds on its way along COMPLETELY the wrong pathway to COMPLETELY the wrong destination where BOTH possibilities are wrong regardless of the polarity of the signal.
Now one last point about all of this is that under the circumstances that, for whatever reason, there are a number of incorrect counts and/or frequencies used by different parts of the brain which are too similar, then something unusual happens.
What happens is that truth becomes mixed with opposites, because of a more-or-less equal number of correct counts between origins to destinations as well as incorrect counts between origins to destinations. If frequencies are too similar as well, it is unlikely that different parts of the brain ALL use similar frequencies for intercommunication, making only some portion of signals arrive at correct destinations, while the other portion does NOT.
This creates the situation where the brain will, for example, interpret memories of the past, and because of a mix of correct polarity to destinations and incorrect polarity to destinations, your recollection OF something in the past will be the INTERPRETATION of how something MUST have happened when considering a mix of true items with nonfactual opposite items, not-to-mention the inclusion of utterly wrong details that occur when a frequency used within the brain is completely wrong.

It also eventually caused the deaths of virtually all illicit drug addicts around the world if they abused a sufficient level of narcotics. Governments advised that the population seek shelter from 30 minutes before to 30 minutes after solar noon, when the magnetosphere was the most active and emitting the strongest level of radio energy in your geographic area.
That time when control over deliberate centigrade temperature rise of the global climate threatened to begin rising out of control, which would have lead to too rapid a thawing of the polar regions before great power nations were ready legally and technologically to tap the energy and natural resources at both the north and south poles. After that, great power nations resumed their maneuvering for the energy and natural resources of weak third and second world nations while carefully thawing the poles, as well as continued to build up their arctic and antarctic capabilities, which they will need to ensure the survival of their governments in successive centuries.
